At last there has been resolution of the Chiltern & South Bucks Local Plan

After a partial online Examination the Central Government Planning Inspectors have advised the Council that it is likely that they will recommend non-adoption of the Plan and invited the Council to consider their findings. However they point out that there is a strong likelihood that the only option will be for the Council to withdraw the Plan.

This is based on the Inspectors’ opinion that the Councils have not engaged actively, constructively and on an ongoing basis in relation to a strategic matter having particular regard to Slough’s unmet housing needs.

Unfortunately this has typified the Councils approach throughout, having identified a ‘solution’ at the outset, pursuing it through to conclusion and ignoring all contrary advice.
